Why we started Copper Interactive

Businesses look after their customers and their company. Their website deserves the same care. It does not have to age, as long as someone is looking after it.

Copper ages. Left out in the weather, it slowly turns green: a layer of verdigris that forms on its own, a little more every year. It is still copper underneath. It just needs someone to look after it.

Websites age the same way, and that is why we started this studio.

The website gets left behind

The businesses we talk to care about a lot. They care about their customers: how quickly they answer the phone, how they follow up, how a job is finished. They care about their company: their people, their reputation, the name on the door.

The website is usually where that care stops. It was built once, often well, by someone who has since moved on. It still loads, so it drops off the list. Meanwhile the software under it stops getting security updates, the design starts to look dated, and phones, browsers, search engines, and now AI assistants all raise the bar a little every year.

The website is still where many customers meet a business first. When it has been left to age, it tells them something the business never meant to say.

Aging is optional

None of this is inevitable. A website does not decay because it is old. It decays because nobody is looking after it. Software can be kept current, security settings can be checked, and pages can stay fast and accessible, as long as someone owns that work and does it routinely rather than once every few years in a panic.

That is the gap we set out to fill.

What we do about it

We work in three steps, and each one follows from the last:

  1. Audit. We look at the same public signals any browser sees: response headers, TLS certificates, page source, and published software versions. We never scan or probe a site without the owner’s written permission. The result is a plain-language report of what has fallen behind and what matters most.
  2. Rebuild. When patching is no longer enough, we rebuild on a current, smaller stack, migrating your content and redirecting every old address so links and search results keep working.
  3. Maintain. Then we keep it that way: updates and small edits month after month, so the site does not drift back to where it started.

We run our own platforms the same way. Our work page shows where each one started, where it is now, and the numbers we measured along the way.

Your website belongs on the list

If you put real care into your customers and your company, your website should be on that list too. It is not a one-time project. It is part of the business, and it can stay current as long as someone is looking after it.

If you would like to know where your site stands today, request a free audit. We will send you a plain-language report of what we find.

A free, passive audit with a plain-language summary. Then a fixed quote if you want us to fix it.
