DR Promotions is our own platform: a North Carolina company that runs ABC store tastings, brand ambassador programs, and spirits events. We show it here as in-house work, not as a client result.
Starting point
The first version, from September 2025, was a static Next.js site. It looked polished, but the desktop header had no navigation links, and Lighthouse found unlabeled buttons and links, low-contrast text, and skipped heading levels. The repository set none of the five security headers we check.
What we changed
The site grew from a single static page into a full platform, including a signed-in portal for the team. We fixed every accessibility issue Lighthouse reported, added a Content-Security-Policy and the other standard security headers, and moved hosting to Netlify.
Outcome
- Security headers: none of five set by the v1 repository, all five on the live site.
- Lighthouse (mobile): accessibility 83 → 100, SEO 100 → 100.
- Performance went from 99 to 96 as the site grew from a single static page into a much larger application. Both scores are in Lighthouse’s top band.
How we measured
Both versions were built from the repository and served locally with next start on the same
machine, with placeholder settings and no production credentials. Lighthouse scores are the median
of three mobile runs of Lighthouse 12.6 for each version, on 26 September 2026. “Before” security
headers come from the v1 repository configuration; “after” headers come from the live site.
